The brake caliper is the heart of every braking system. We
use only Brembo calipers that have been enhanced by QTM to make them look good
enough for you to put on your bike!
One of the features that make
Brembo calipers so unique is the "dual o-ring" design. Our calipers have an
extra o-ring up near the top of the piston bore. This o-ring acts as a shield
keeping out unwanted dust, debris, and road grime. What does this mean to you?
No rebuilds. These calipers are "cycle tested" under simulated real-life
conditions to 300 years. In other words - these calipers will most likely
outlast your bike!
* Proprietary design forces pistons and pads
to retract fully when line pressure is released, decreasing noise and rotor
warping, and increasing pad life. * Four to ten times more pad life than
stock Harley-Davidson type brakes. * Significantly shorter stopping
distance! |

Brembo brake calipers really are different than anything else
available in the market. Here’s why: - Four piston differential bore calipers
allow for even pad wear, and help prevent unnecessary brake lock-up. - Four
piston, four pad technology Allows the pads to have four leading edges for the
best braking performance and pad wear. - Dual o-rings. Brembo calipers are
the only one’s available in the aftermarket with built in dust seals – this
ensures long caliper life. - Aluminum pistons and bores. Brembo calipers
are the only one’s in the market that utilize this technology. Similar materials
between the piston and the bore ensure similar thermal characteristics; this
means that whether freezing cold, or burning hot, the internal tolerances
are maintained on your caliper. - Proprietary hard coating on pistons and
bores. This allows for smooth movement of pistons in the bore, and eliminates
scoring of the bore as well as corrosion. - Deeper piston bores allow for
smooth and stable movement of the piston, even when fully extended due to pad
wear. - Cycle tested to 300 years. This sounds unbelievable, but it’s true!
These calipers are cycle tested at Brembo’s vast facility to simulate 300
years of use and outdoor conditions including thermal shock, salt spray,
etc. - Proprietary o-ring design forces pistons and pads to retract fully
when line pressure is released, decreasing noise and rotor warping, and
increasing pad life. - Four to ten times more pad life than stock type
brakes. Significantly shorter stopping distance! |

Why four pads instead of two? The newest addition
to our caliper line up is the four piston, four pad caliper. This part is
available for 2000+ front ends using the 12.6" rotor.
* The leading edge
of the brake pad always gets better "bite." By having four pads, we have doubled
the number of leading edges. * Since there is full contact between the pad
and the piston, differential bore is not needed, so we can use the largest
pistons possible all the way around! |
